Yes. Permission from the workplace will be needed and the treatment will need to be in a quiet location.
Will I have to undress?
For the initial Sport Therapy assessment you will be required to undress to a degree depending where the problem is. Following treatments only require the relevant area to be exposed so your modesty is maintained at all times. Acupuncture appointments will require certain areas to be exposed but this will be explained during the appointment.
I'm scared of needles, does Acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture is usually pain free, although some areas on the face can be tender. The needles are about the thickness of a human hair and are often inserted unnoticed. Most people find Acupuncture very relaxing and often fall asleep during treatment.
What do you bring to a home visit appointment?
Most appointments last 1 hour, with actual treatment being up to 40 minutes. The treatment table is provided, as are clean towels, creams, acupuncture equipment and rehabilitation equipment if needed. Access to a sink will be needed for hand washing.
What happens if you cannot help me?
On some occasions the injury/condition may need to be looked at by your GP or hospital before we can continue treatment. We work closely with local healthcare providers and are always happy to send a letter of referral for further advice or tests.
